for those people that are really bored to read from the book i am a 100% sure that they can read from the slides in claroline or from the sites that arman and i uploaded in the forum the last days, and cover all the necessary material for gaining a good mark!!!

**28** Re: Statistics Psycho Exams on Wed Jun 09, 2010 12:14 am

I just finished with reading and i want to make some practice, where can i find past papers for statisticsII?

**29** Re: Statistics Psycho Exams on Wed Jun 09, 2010 12:19 am

i think they have them in curoline, the link is : http://claroline.city.academic.gr/claroline/document/document.php?cmd=exChDir&file=%2FStatistics_II

**30** Re: Statistics Psycho Exams on Wed Jun 09, 2010 12:47 am

Konstantina u wrote "curoline" instead of claroline and this in romanian means "ass-line"

**32** Re: Statistics Psycho Exams on Wed Jun 09, 2010 12:56 am

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH OMG and 3 lols!!! it's not my fault guys if your languages have nusty words ok?????? hahahahahahahahahah

**33** Re: Statistics Psycho Exams on Wed Jun 09, 2010 12:57 am

hey guys, me and arman want to clarify something. when the f obtain is bigger than f critical then there is a signifance right?

**34** Explaning the Fs on Wed Jun 09, 2010 12:58 am

If

__is bigger than the__**Fobt**__value__**Fcrit****THERE IS**a statistically significant difference.http://www.isixsigma.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=1323:how-to-compare-data-sets-anova&Itemid=196&tmpl=component&print=1

**35** Re: Statistics Psycho Exams on Wed Jun 09, 2010 1:01 am

so hypothesis is confirmed? and null hypothesis rejected?? and all these only if Fobt is bigger than Fcrit?? and what if he doesn't give us the Fcrit??

**36** Re: Statistics Psycho Exams on Wed Jun 09, 2010 1:19 am

So we reject a null hypothesis and accept the alternate if F obtain is > than F critical .The F is always given in a one or two way ANOVA but if there is no F you can see it from the p-value that it is significant at 0,05 . This means if its lower than 0,05 it is significant.

**37** Re: Statistics Psycho Exams on Wed Jun 09, 2010 1:22 am

so for the p value it's the opposite. really thanks!!

Oana wrote:[b]1. For One way ANOVA we will have:

a) state the null and alternate hypotheses

b) Does A play a significant role on B? Explain why?

what is A and what is B???

the μs??

**41** null and alt on Wed Jun 09, 2010 5:13 am

the null states that all μs are equal and alternative staes that thei are different. so we use post hoc do find WHICH μs differ.

**42** Re: Statistics Psycho Exams on Wed Jun 09, 2010 5:25 am

Teo, actually the A and B factors are the variables...let's say that you have volume and gender inside the table..it's like A and B

**44** Re: Statistics Psycho Exams on Wed Jun 09, 2010 5:29 am

no i was asking about the A and B factors.

thanx both of you!!

thanx both of you!!

Guys, do you know what will be the subject regarding power analysis? is it theoretical question or we have the interpret the results?

**47** Re: Statistics Psycho Exams on Wed Jun 09, 2010 5:34 am

only theory as people told me...

b)R square value- the significance of the regression

c) the value of the constant and the slope.

what do u mean with c?

the value of the constant???

**49** Re: Statistics Psycho Exams on Wed Jun 09, 2010 7:14 am

she means intercept. it is a constant value but you don't need to know that.
